PNG vs JPG — What's the Difference?
PNG files can be very large because they use lossless compression. JPG files are significantly smaller because they use lossy compression, making them much faster to load on websites. Converting PNG to JPG is ideal for photographs where file size matters more than transparency support.
Note that JPG does not support transparency — any transparent areas in your PNG will be replaced with a white background. If you need to keep transparency, stay with PNG or switch to WebP instead.

Does converting lose quality?
Converting from a lossy format (JPG) to a lossless one (PNG) won't recover lost data, but won't degrade it further. Converting PNG→JPG will apply minimal compression at high quality (90%) so results look identical to the eye. Converting to WebP is also done at high quality (92%).
Are my images stored after conversion?
No. All uploaded files are processed securely and deleted immediately after conversion. We never store your images on our servers.
What happens to transparency when converting to JPG?
JPG does not support transparency. Any transparent areas in your PNG or WebP file will be replaced with a white background in the converted JPG. If you need to preserve transparency, convert to PNG or WebP instead.
Is there a file size limit for conversion?
